It’s past 1 AM and I’m driving home after a fun night. I was coming from Riverside area towards LA when I get to a certain street from which I could see the perfect view of all of LA. It was magnificent and right as this came into view, the song on the radio changed to Tupac’s “California Love”.

Perfect Life Moment.  

Since Skype Date Attempt #1 was an epic fail we are going to try again for tonight.

I never realized that an 8 hour difference would be so hard to deal with. UGH.

Tonight I have a night time volunteer shift at the crisis hotline so I will be getting home past 1AM which is perfect since it’ll be 9 in the morning in England, he’ll be awake and I’ll be in no risk of falling asleep since I’m always pumped up after a shift.

Perfection.

At midnight (in 2 hours) my ex and I have a skype date set up. It’ll be eight AM his time, but it’s the only time we could figure out where the both of us would be available with such a big time difference.

Anyway he really wanted to talk “face to face” when he found out about my scare regarding my upcoming secondary mammogram. It really freaked him out, I guess. And I’m feeling a little nervous about talking to him because we had a lot of unresolved feelings when he moved back to England. I’m not sure what we’re going to talk about even. Plus, I haven’t heard his intense British accent in quite a while, since he moved back to England. Sigh.

I’ll update you guys tomorrow on how it goes.

My plan yesterday was to go home after getting picked up from the airport. Shower. Plop down on my bed and write a post on Tumblr summarizing my trip to New York. Instead…I ended up in the ER. I wrote a post about it, so I don’t need to retell it here.

Anyway, here I am, back on Tumblr, doing what my orginial plan was…

I am finally back on the West Coast, back in LA….WOO! I loved New York. I really did. But I just love the West Coast. My little sister picked me up from LAX and took me to Venice Beach where we walked the coast and it was AWESOME as always. I realize that this trip made me truly appreciate what I already have. I loved seeing and experiencing New York, but it’s not the place for me.
